LYING CAMBERED-BAR EXTENSIONS

This exercise is second to none when it comes to building jaw dropping triceps. I call them Skull-Crushers, because if you’re not careful you could end up getting a nasty lump on your forehead, hence the name. But don’t let this scare you, the risk is minimal, this is a totally safe exercise when proper form is used.

EXECUTION:

Lie flat on the bench, have your partner hand you the cambered bar, assume a close grip, your hands should be placed inside the inner bends in the bar. Extend your arms perpendicular to your torso. From this position bend your arms in a semi-arc and lower the bar until it almost touches your forehead, then return the bar to the starting position. Make sure that during the movement that your keep your upper arms parallel to each other and don’t let your elbows travel outward, keep them pointing towards the ceiling. For a variation of this exercise you can use dumbbells, but make sure that you decrease the weight or else you’ll be in for a surprise.
